I’ve used so many lip products over so many years. Maybe I’m just really susceptible to advertising, but this one just takes the cake.
I’ve seen it around here and there, but never really considered actually getting it. I actually got a different Sephora holy grail lip mask (Sugar) that was better rated on the app, but it just didn’t work for me. It was too thick and I’d wake up with it totally gone & peeling lips to boot.
I was almost convinced that was the best I’d find until I read someone’s review of this, how it feels “special & different,” which was intriguing to me.
I’m glad I took the plunge. This container is going to last me FOREVER. It smells/tastes vaguely berry-ish, overall mild. It does have a kind of “special” feeling going on — similar to how some gel creams feel like they turn into water when they hit your skin, or how cleansing balm melts from cream to oil, this goes from a regular-looking, semi-sticky substance to a smooth, silky, flexible oil balm immediately upon application.
It’s still on my lips when I wake up in the morning, and there’s no more peely skin. Yay! Definitely recommend if you have tried all the heavily-moisturizing lip products and haven’t found one you love yet.
