I had one of the original version of these (when you could only get them in one color: beige). The original one was fantastic! Unfortunately, I dropped my original one, cutting head first, onto a concrete floor and damaged it. So I bought this one as a replacement and was happy to get the pretty blue one. But this one does not cut nearly as well as the original, and therefore takes twice as long to shave the same area (I use it for facial hair: chin, above lip, and mutton chops). It also does not shave quite as closely as the original. However, it is still very convenient to carry in my purse for those times that I look into a mirror and see with embarrassment that I have a mustache appearing, or a wild chin hair! It is still a very good product, just took away a star because the original was better.
