I am so happy with this jacket. I wanted something warm enough to walk my kid from the car to school without adding a ton of bulk or putting on my winter coat yet. I debated a lot on size, considering I have owned a small Columbia jacket in the past and found it to be pretty fitted, and also considering i own the vest version of this jacket in two colors and wear a small in those and it’s a good fit (but I’m generally wearing them open or over something thin like a flannel shirt). I ended up ordering the medium, and I’m so glad I did. It’s not sloppy or too big, but it has enough room to wear a sweatshirt underneath and zip up without getting those weird ripples in the zipper when something is too tight (or is that just me?). For reference, I’m 5’6″, 130 lbs., with a 34″ bust and 28-29″ waist and generally wear a small. I’m sure the small in this would fit fine also, but for layering the medium is good.
